Environmental Bespoke Training

Whether you are looking for short environmental awareness sessions for all employees, training for auditors or longer courses that are accredited by IEMA or IOSH we are able to design and deliver sessions to exactly meet your requirements.

The accredited environmental courses that we are able to run on your premises include the:

  • 3 day IEMA Environmental Foundation course, an introductory course designed for employees who are involved in implementing environmental procedures.
  • 5 day IOSH Managing Environmental Responsibilities course for managers who have to incorporate environmental aspects into their day to day management responsibilities.
  • 10 day Associate Certificate in Environmental Management course designed for employees who are responsible for initiating and implementing measures to improve an organisation's environmental performance.

While the content of each of these courses is largely dictated by the relevant accrediting body, they are flexible enough to allow site-specific information and practical exercises to be included.

Bespoke non-accredited courses include:

  • Environmental Management System (EMS) for those who design and implement an EMS to meet the requirements of ISO 14001 or the Eco-Management and Audit Scheme (EMAS).
  • Environmental Auditor Training designed either for those who are new to auditing or are existing quality auditors and are new to environmental management. The course can also be designed for employees who are to undertake both quality and environmental audits.
  • Managing your Waste includes the legislation associated with the storage and disposal of waste and practical measures that must be taken to ensure compliance with the duty of care regarding waste.
  • Environmental awareness sessions for all employees to ensure they are fully briefed on the reasons for introducing an EMS into the organisation, the specific issues being addressed and their role in its implementation. This is particularly important when meeting the “Competence, Training and Awareness” clause of ISO 14001 during the certification process.
  • Producing Environmental Objectives and Targets which enables environmental teams to develop the improvements necessary to achieve continual improvements, a key requirement of the ISO 14001 standard.

Prior to running any environmental course on site, the trainer will visit the premises to examine the procedures in place and the significant aspects the organisation has to manage. This information will be incorporated into the training sessions.
